I start my breath each day with a blasphemous sigh, why is the darkness here? The sigh doesn’t reach the mountain tops, the sigh doesn’t reach the endless valley, it won’t reach the air. No, my child, this sigh will only be heard by the hopeless ear. Why is it that the world will not hear my song of suffering? The wood of my desk will not listen, the popcorn on the ceiling will laugh at me. Why do I start my breath each day with a blasphemous sigh, why is the darkness here?
The darkness is an unwelcome guest that will parade and court my brain. Court like breathing, never ending. Parading like a Mardi Gras celebration, up and down the synapses of my brain. I must start my breath each day with a blasphemous sigh, why is the darkness here?
How bad is it that something we must endure is something that pains us so much? What are your options when the task at hand is relentless and dark? Push light into the air. Push light into the courting. Push light into the parade. I must start my breath each day with a blasphemous sigh, I know why the darkness is here.
A courtship can be strong at times but I will eventually reach the eye of the storm. A parade comes once a year rarely gathering constituents, the usual brittle crowds are nothing to be afraid of. I will shout my sigh to the darkness, it will not be taking any of my life today. I say no, to the relentless darkness, it can wait until I am at my journeys end. Fortunately for it, my adventure will end. Fortunately for me, my adventure will end. The light will be a present. The journey will be a delight. The fight will be a teacher. I chose to start my breath each day with a sigh of conviction, I know why the darkness is here.
Peace, love, all the above. Love, Alex.
