My heart is beating faster

Than it ever has before

This sinus tachycardia

Is caused by you and nothing more

One look is all it takes

To influence this condition

My mean arterial pressure increases

Due to your proximal position

When you hold my hand it sends an impulse

That radiates straight to my heart

Purkinje fibers transmit signals so rapidly

My interventricular septum nearly bursts apart

When you kiss my lips

My myocardial contraction looses coordination

The ECG shows ventricular fibrillation

And all that can save me is a strong wave of depolarization

As my heart rate returns to normal

And my hypertension finally subsides

My cardiac condition starts all over again

When I see your smile as I open my eyes
