As you can imagine, I am like a majority of the people out there, severely under-hydrated. I was truly on a quest (still am if I find something better than this Hydrojug, but I don’t think I will) for the perfect water bottle. As an avid weightlifter and just active person, along with all of my worry with my health, I need to drink water. I feel better, less anxious, and more energized when I have at least a gallon per day. I want to tell you about these Hydrojugs because I do love them for many reasons, with very few complaints. I never want my website to feel like I am trying to sell you something, I just honestly want to help your journey with some of the things that have helped me. For mine and Megans hydration needs, this has been doing the trick.

My first encounter with Hydrojug was at a family party here in Rochester. We were drinking some “dranks” (or drinkypoos like my buddy Trevor and I would call them in college. Just a goofy silly term for alcohol) and I spotted my cousins girlfriend drinking water to hydrate in the summer sun from this large bottle with a cool straw. I had just been severely underwhelmed with an Under Armour water jug, and this drinking apparatus caught my eye for sure. It looked SO much easier to drink from and it even had a very unique wrapping or sleeve that kept the contents cool. I asked her, Lindsey, what it was and she told me it was a Hydrojug…

I was IN LOVE with the idea… But I wanted to give it a try. Like I said, I had just purchased a UA water bottle that promised similar things but it leaked and it was uncomfortable to carry and bulky. I scoured the Hydrojug website and looked at all of the different designs. There is a cool thing called the HYDROVIEWER that allows you to select which bottle and sleeve you choose. It lets you see what it will look like before you buy which is super cool! At the time, there was a better deal on bundles so I wanted to include Megan on this hydration journey so I went to the BUDDY BUNDLES page. I got my very “Alex” bottle mix with a clear bottle so I could see the contents and a black sleeve. For Megan, I also got the clear bottle, but instead of the bland norm that I preferred, I got her the very cool floral sleeve. She LOVED it. There are so many different variations you can choose from, go crazy! I also purchased us both straws for our bottles (an additional 5$ a piece).

We got our bottles and were instantly impressed. Build felt very sturdy and like it would last an extremely long time. I haven’t left the house without it since I got it. The strap and sleeve is super useful for mobility and versatility, with the ability to hold small items on the side of the sleeve as well (good for you out there who just likes to slide money and your phone in a pocket and leave the house). I went from reusing bottles sometimes that were potentially harmful to me with the types of plastics they were made out of, to a reusable and dishwasher-safe bottle that allowed me to drink my water needed for a day in just a little over two trips to the water fountain at work (for those of you who have hydrated before, expect lots of trips to the bathroom though). I went from having to set 8 reminders at work to drink water and fill a bottle to 2. It is way easier to track, and way easier to assure that you are getting what you need. REASONS TO DIVE IN TO HYDRATION WITH HYDROJUG

REASON 1 – It is healthy for you, AND the planet! By utilizing the awesome hydration powers within this bottle, you reuse instead of wasting more and more plastic. Hydrojugs are made from plastic that is BPA free and dishwasher safe, so you will always be drinking clean water as well. REASON 2 – So many options! Something for everyone! You will most definitely find a color that fits your fancy here. Storage, insulators, as well as protection for your water jug.

REASON 3 – Fairly affordable for what you are getting! Each standard edition bottle is around 20$ and the sleeve is a similar price, the special editions being about 5$ more. The BUDDY BUNDLES are the best deal and they are on sale at the time I am writing this review. And! If you are a healthcare worker or teacher I would recommend chatting with one of there representatives and ask them for a medical or ***insert your job here*** discount. I was able to get my bundle at a slightly cheaper rate and it was outstanding!

REASON 4 – Product is extremely well built and unlike many competitors, you can buy replacement parts if you ever need them. These bottles do not leak at all and its one of my favorite features about them!

REASONS TO STAY PARCHED

The ONE and only con that I have encountered since starting to use a Hydrojug is the straw design. It works extremely well. The one downside is that you do have to squish the straw back in to the container after every use if you want to close the bottle! You may be asking, “why is this a big deal?”. Well, its not. Unless you work in a healthcare profession like I do and come in contact with germs on the regular. But! As long as you wash your hands and stay conscious, you will be golden :).
